Pinnaplasty and Otoplasty are interchangeable terms for surgery to improve the appearance of protruding ears.
This surgery can be carried out on one, or both ears, as required, and is suitable for both children and adults. Ideally, children should be no younger than six years old, as this is the youngest age at which the ears are approaching adult size, and also it allows the child to be involved in the decision to proceed with surgery.
We often meet adults also, who wish they had undergone surgery as a child, and are surprised to hear that both conventional surgery and very popular Ear Fold TM still provide options to improve what is bothering them about their ears.
