Deirdre is experienced in the biopsy and removal of skin lesions and cancers of the nose, face, ears, neck and scalp, and also reconstruction of the resulting defect with skin flaps and other techniques, where necessary.
Most small moles and skin lesions can be removed under local anesthetic, however it is advisable to undertake removal of some larger skin cancers under general anaesthetic.
